About the role
The Department of Education is hiring an Education Support Teacher on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract to join Coastal Lakes College. You will work within the Inclusive Education Department, supporting students who need substantial adjustments to access the curriculum.
Key responsibilities
- Design and deliver highly differentiated learning programs and Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with diverse needs.
- Collaborate with families, therapists, and external agencies to support student wellbeing and learning outcomes.
Required profile
- Eligible teacher qualification and registration, with Australian or New Zealand citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid work visa.
- Strong interpersonal skills, commitment to inclusive education, and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
Required skills
- Knowledge of evidence‑based practices for students with disability and neurodivergent learners.
- Understanding of trauma‑informed practice and inclusive teaching strategies.
