Education Designer

About the role

Monash Learning and Teaching is seeking an Education Designer to support the design, implementation and operationalisation of education initiatives across the university. The role focuses on advancing teaching, learning and assessment, with a particular emphasis on assessment design and faculty engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Provide educational advice, guidance and support to academic and professional staff on the design, development and review of units, courses and related initiatives.
• Lead assessment design activities, ensuring alignment with university standards and best practice.
• Coordinate and support faculty engagement for the Programmatic Assessment and AI Review (PAAIR) programme.
• Manage stakeholder liaison, cross‑faculty communications and connect academic teams with relevant assessment development resources.
• Contribute to the strategic priorities of Monash Learning and Teaching.

Required profile

• Strong background in educational design or substantial relevant experience.
• Degree qualification in a relevant field combined with extensive experience, or equivalent professional expertise.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across faculties and support large‑scale educational initiatives.
