eClinician - RPAH Informatics (Clinical Nurse Specialist / Allied Health)

About the role

A senior clinician with an interest in digital health is sought to join the Royal Prince Alfred (RPA) and Balmain Health Informatics Team. The eClinician contributes to digital health and electronic medical record (eMR) system initiatives, assists with workflow analysis and design, and helps prepare clinical teams for digital change and the Single Digital Patient Record (SDPR). The role spans both Balmain and RPA Hospitals.

Key responsibilities

• Work under the direction of and in partnership with the Nurse Manager Health Informatics, Clinical Staff and Digital Health and Innovation (DH&I)
• Review current and future clinical workflows and assist with change management
• Prepare clinical staff before new eHealth implementations and give them ongoing support and education
• Exercise delegated autonomy and leadership in analysing and responding to clinicians' needs as they adopt new technology
• Support the implementation, deployment, adoption, maintenance and optimisation of eMR and digital health technologies while managing local risks across RPA and Balmain Hospitals

Required profile

• Registered nurse, registered midwife or allied health professional with a tertiary qualification in physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology, nutrition and dietetics, podiatry or social work, with APRHA registration and/or eligibility for membership of the relevant professional association
• Nursing applicants: relevant post-registration qualification and at least 3 years of clinical experience in their area
• Allied health applicants: extensive clinical experience in an acute setting
