Early Childhood Teacher

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Early Childhood Teacher to join our brand‑new Eden Academy centre in Wallsend. You will create a safe, nurturing environment where children aged 0‑5 can explore, learn and develop essential skills.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, play‑based learning programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS).
• Foster inclusive, supportive relationships with children, families and the local community.
• Maintain a clean, safe classroom and outdoor environment, ensuring compliance with child‑safety policies.
• Observe and assess children’s progress, providing feedback to families and contributing to individual learning plans.
• Collaborate with fellow educators and centre leadership to continuously improve curriculum and practice.

Required profile

• Passion for early education and a commitment to inclusive, high‑quality care.
• Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) or an ACECQA‑approved equivalent.
• Current Teacher Registration and Working with Children Check.
• Full Australian working rights and availability to work Monday‑Friday, 5 days per week.
• Two professional references, one from a childcare or education supervisor.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS).
