Early Childhood Teacher - Geebung

About the role

Only About Children Geebung is looking for a thoughtful, child-centred Early Childhood Teacher to lead high-level educational practice in a classroom-anchored role. The work is informed by the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers, the EYLF, the National Quality Framework and the campus Grow Curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a high-quality early learning program that supports children's confidence, wellbeing and development
• Plan, document and evaluate learning using the assessment and planning cycle
• Design curriculum using professional judgement, informed by child development, frameworks and evidence of learning
• Support school readiness through oral language, social-emotional skills, problem-solving and meaningful group learning
• Mentor educators in intentional teaching, documentation, reflective practice and inclusive learning
• Partner with families on each child's learning, wellbeing, culture and individual needs
• Contribute to QIP, self-assessment, team meetings and campus-wide educational improvement

Required profile

• Approved Early Childhood Teaching qualification from a recognised university or ACECQA-approved equivalent
• Teacher registration or accreditation where required
• Minimum three years' demonstrated experience in an early childhood setting
• Experience supporting, mentoring or training colleagues
• Current Working with Children Check and relevant state-based child protection clearance

Required skills

• Strong working knowledge of the EYLF, NQF, child development, statutory regulations and inclusive practice
• Strong communication, documentation, critical reflection and relationship-building skills
