Early Childhood Educator (Kindergarten & Extended Hours)

About the role

Campbelltown & K (C&K) Rosalie Community Kindergarten & Preschool is looking for two Educators to join its team. The service runs two kindergarten groups and an Extended Hours Program, offering a connected learning journey beyond the kindergarten day. The two positions are permanent part-time: one in the Kindergarten Program and one in the Extended Hours Program.

Key responsibilities

• Kindergarten Program Educator: support children in a high-quality, play-based kindergarten program that prepares them for school, working 37.5 hours per fortnight on Monday, Tuesday and alternate Wednesdays from 7:30am to 3:00pm.
• Extended Hours Program Educator: support children after the kindergarten day, working 22 hours per week Monday to Friday on shifts from 1:35pm to 6:00pm.
• Create a safe, nurturing and engaging environment where children can learn, play and grow, and build positive relationships with families and colleagues.
• Pick up additional hours during school holidays or through the C&K relief pool.

Required profile

• A Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or higher, or willingness to start studying towards one.
• Completion of the National Child Safety Training Foundation and Advanced Certificates.
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications, or willingness to obtain them.
• A valid Blue Card or Exemption Card, or willingness to apply for one.
• A current Police Check issued within the last three months, or willingness to obtain one.
• Genuine passion for children's learning, wellbeing and sense of belonging.

What we offer

• Kindergarten Program: $30.71-$40.63 per hour plus superannuation.
• Extended Hours Program: $32.18-$39.86 per hour plus superannuation, plus a $1,000 retention bonus paid twice yearly.
