Early Career Environmental Consultant

About the role

ERM Australia is recruiting recent graduates for its 2027 Early Career Environmental Consultant intake, across offices in Sydney and Newcastle. The role suits recent graduates to two years of experience, or people looking for a career change, who want to tackle sustainability challenges in business consulting. The first 12 months include a buddy, onboarding and core consulting skills training.

Required profile

• Tertiary education in environmental science, environmental engineering or a related degree
• Recent graduate to 2 years of experience, or seeking a career change
• Willingness to commit to fieldwork programs, including site visits, field studies and collection of environmental data and samples
• Australian working rights
• Valid driver's licence and a good driving record

Required skills

• Interest in environmental impact assessment, statutory and environmental planning, or ecology field work and assessment
• Ability to handle multiple project assignments and meet strict deadlines
• Experience recording, inputting and managing technical data and preparing reports
• Understanding of or experience with data management software and databases is beneficial
