Managing Consultant - Health and Safety

About the role

ERM, a global sustainability consulting firm, is looking for a Managing Consultant in Health and Safety based in Sydney. The role leads a portfolio of multidisciplinary H&S projects, including management system development and implementation, due diligence and compliance, with travel within Australia and internationally and possible secondments. The consultant reports to the Partner.

Key responsibilities

• Lead safety-focused, multidisciplinary projects for a broad range of ERM clients with a high degree of autonomy
• Prepare technical reports and conduct site audits as a lead assessor
• Develop procedures, management systems and risk assessments for industry clients
• Coordinate project teams and mentor more junior staff

Required profile

• Degree or diploma qualification in health and safety
• Minimum of 6 years of field and audit experience in health and safety or similar
• Solid understanding of State and Commonwealth health and safety regulations and their application in a business context
• Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience in project management, business development and proposal development is beneficial
• Occupational health and contractor management experience is welcomed
