About the role
The Distance Education (DE) Teacher – Subject Matter Expert will support high‑quality, evidence‑informed teaching within Aspect's Distance Education Program. The role begins in Term 3 or 4, 2026, with a maximum‑term contract and possible extension.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, student‑centred learning programs for students on the autism spectrum using online platforms.
- Collaborate with student families, teacher aides, school psychologist, speech and occupational therapists to develop individualized learning plans.
- Attend on‑site professional learning sessions at Aspect Treetop School in Ashford.
Required profile
- TRB registration to teach in South Australia.
- Special education qualifications preferred.
- Willingness to teach outside of your primary subject area.
- Experience working with students on the autism spectrum or other intellectual disabilities (desirable).
- SA Working with Children Check clearance.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Google Classroom.
- Experience using M365 SharePoint or similar online learning platforms.
What we offer

- Full‑time base salary $88,161 – $127,186 AUD per year plus superannuation (pro‑rata for part‑time).
