Dispatch & Logistics Operator

About the role

The Maker Designer Kitchens, part of the ABN Group, is Western Australia's leading manufacturer of designer kitchens, stone and glass products, based in Bassendean. It operates a busy manufacturing and logistics environment supporting residential construction across WA. The company is seeking a reliable and motivated Dispatch & Logistics Operator for a varied, hands-on position combining driving duties with warehouse dispatch, loading, unloading and general logistical support.

Key responsibilities

• Loading and unloading trucks with kitchen cabinets, stone slabs and associated products
• Picking, preparing and organising products for dispatch
• Safely securing and restraining loads for transport
• Completing deliveries, collections and transfers between warehouses, suppliers and other locations
• Operating company vehicles according to operational needs
• Assisting with residential site deliveries alongside delivery drivers and offsiders where required
• Supporting the day-to-day activities of the warehouse and dispatch operations
• Working with the wider manufacturing and logistics team to move materials and products safely and efficiently

Required profile

• Current and unrestricted driver's licence (essential)
• Previous experience in dispatch, warehousing, transport or logistics highly regarded
• HC driver's licence desirable but not essential
• Forklift licence and experience desirable
• Experience loading, unloading and securing product advantageous
• Reliable, punctual, organised and able to adapt to changing priorities
• Comfortable working independently and committed to workplace health and safety
