Disability Support Worker – Spinal Cord Injury Care

A participant with a spinal cord injury and an acquired brain injury needs consistent, person-centred support. The role suits someone highly skilled in complex care who also values a respectful and supportive working relationship. Key responsibilities

• Full sling hoist transfers (2V1)
• Catheter care
• Enema administration
• Digital stimulation
• Shower assistance
• Meal preparation
• Medication administration
• Community access

Required profile

• Prior experience working with people who have complex care needs
• Prior experience with complex wound dressings
• Current First Aid and CPR
• National Police Clearance
• NDIS Worker Orientation module and Supporting Effective Communication module completed
• NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check
• Full Australian working rights
• Two current references; immediate start preferred

Required skills

• Experience in catheter care and manual handling
• Medication competencies and administering medication training certificate
• Certificate III or higher

What we offer

• Flexible availability for additional shifts
• Pay: day shift $40 per hour, afternoon shift $44 per hour, Saturday shift $56 per hour, Sunday shift $72 per hour
