Disability Support Worker

About the role

WorkforceXS Strathfield Health, a healthcare staffing agency, has an immediate vacancy for a Disability Support Worker in the Rhodes / Ryde area of New South Wales. The role supports a young man living in his own home with a live-in parent, and is offered at AUD 41-45 per hour on a casual basis.

Key responsibilities

• Support a young man in his own home, where he lives with a live-in parent
• Provide personal care
• Carry out domestic duties
• Work weekdays and weekends with flexible days and hours

Required profile

• Certificate III in Individual Support (preferred), Certificate II in Community Services, Certificate IV in Disability or Ageing Support
• At least 1 year of paid experience providing disability support
• Work rights in Australia
• Unrestricted Australian driver's licence and reliable transport (own car)
• Genuine passion for providing care and support

Required skills

• Current National Criminal History Check or willingness to obtain one
• Working With Children Check or willingness to obtain one
• First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module or willingness to obtain it
