Disability Support Practitioner

About the role

CPA's Australian Disability Enterprise, Packforce, is hiring a full-time Disability Support Worker in Wetherill Park, NSW. The role supports employees with disability to take part in a supported work environment, develop their skills and reach their individual goals, combining disability support experience with practical workplace activities such as packing and production.

Key responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support to employees with disability in a workplace setting.
• Support employees to take part in packing, production and other enterprise activities.
• Encourage skill development, independence, confidence and workplace participation.
• Adapt support to each person's individual needs and abilities.
• Promote a safe, inclusive and respectful working environment.
• Work with colleagues to support daily operations and help employees reach their goals.

Required profile

• Experience supporting people with disability, ideally in an employment, day program or similar setting.
• A person-centred approach that promotes dignity, choice, inclusion and independence.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to adapt your approach to different support needs.
• Commitment to workplace health and safety and a positive, hands-on attitude.

Required skills

• Current NSW driver licence (P2 minimum).
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Current Working with Children Check (WWCC).
• Current NDIS Worker Check.
