Disability Support Practitioner – Accommodation

About the role

The Disability Support Practitioner role at CPA provides high‑quality, person‑centred support to people with disabilities living in group homes. You will help clients live as independently as possible while supporting their wellbeing, dignity and quality of life.

Key responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living tasks such as cooking, meals, cleaning and household activities.
• Provide personal care respectfully (showering, toileting, etc.).
• Administer medication according to care plans.
• Support mobility and manual handling, including use of hoists and specialised equipment.
• Monitor and document client wellbeing, reporting any changes.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a positive team environment.

Required profile

• Commitment to person‑centred care.
• Current NSW Driver’s Licence (minimum P2).
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role.
• Willingness to work a rotating roster.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working With Children Check, First Aid & CPR.

Required skills

• Medication administration.
• Manual handling and use of specialised equipment (e.g., hoists).
