Director Water Source Planner

About the role

The Director – Water Source Planner will lead catchment planning and water source strategy assignments, providing strategic advice on water security and system resilience for clients in Melbourne.

Key responsibilities

• Lead catchment planning and water source strategy projects that inform long‑term investment and resilience decisions.
• Apply hydraulic and catchment modelling to assess supply options, reservoir operations and system performance under climate change and drought scenarios.
• Develop master plans, concept strategies and investment roadmaps for senior client decision‑makers.
• Engage stakeholders to align technical recommendations with policy, regulatory and community outcomes.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Water Resources, Hydrology or related field.
• Proven experience in catchment planning, water source strategy and hydraulic modelling.
• Consultancy background with ability to work autonomously and produce high‑quality strategic deliverables.
• Chartered status or working toward chartership is advantageous.
