Director of Sales – Hospitality

About the role

The Director of Sales will shape and execute the sales strategy for Rydges Parramatta, driving revenue and market share across rooms and F&B. Reporting to senior leadership, you will lead a sales team, collaborate with marketing and digital functions, and champion innovative approaches to stay ahead of the market.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets.
• Coach, mentor and motivate a sales team of three or more, ensuring clear goal communication.
• Manage tactical sales plans, forecasting peaks and troughs in demand.
• Collaborate with marketing, loyalty and digital teams to uncover new business opportunities.
• Influence internal and external stakeholders, resolve challenges and drive commercial outcomes.
• Maintain and grow large client accounts, ensuring retention and repeat business.

Required profile

• 3–5 years in a senior sales role within hotels, with strong knowledge of the Sydney market.
• Proven ability to convert sales inquiries, drive C&E and develop repeat business.
• Leadership experience managing and developing a sales team of at least three members.
• Track record of delivering ambitious revenue goals through strategic planning.
• Demonstrated capability to manage large client accounts and optimise performance in a fast‑paced environment.
