Director of Corporate & Community Services (12‑month contract)

About the role

The Shire of Waroona is seeking an experienced executive to lead Corporate and Community Services on a 12‑month contract starting November 2026. Reporting to the CEO, you will provide strategic direction across finance, governance, community development, recreation, tourism, information technology and corporate planning.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic plans for corporate and community services.
• Oversee financial management, budgeting and reporting for the Shire.
• Ensure compliance with governance and regulatory requirements.
• Lead community development, recreation, tourism and IT initiatives.
• Collaborate with Council, senior executives and external stakeholders.
• Manage and develop a high‑performing team across multiple service areas.

Required profile

• Significant senior leadership experience in local government or a similarly complex organisation.
• Strong financial and governance expertise.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications highly regarded.
