Director – Non-Financial Risk Payments & Cash Management

About the role

As Director of Non-Financial Risk for Payments and Cash Management (PCM) you will lead global risk oversight for the Payments and Cash Management product portfolio within Transaction Banking. You will act as a trusted advisor to product, sales, implementation, operations and technology teams, ensuring safe, sustainable and customer‑focused growth.

Key responsibilities

• Provide practical risk leadership across the end‑to‑end product lifecycle, identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring and reporting material non‑financial risks within appetite.
• Strengthen the control environment for payments and cash‑management products, supporting product design, change execution, client implementations, regulatory readiness and incident learning.
• Partner with Transaction Banking business and cross‑functional stakeholders to uplift risk discipline, improve transparency of product risk exposures and embed fit‑for‑purpose controls across processes, platforms, third parties and governance forums.
• Offer constructive challenge on product risk profiles, control effectiveness, customer outcomes and change‑related risks across domestic and cross‑border payments, collections, liquidity and related cash‑management capabilities.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in non‑financial risk management within payments, cash management or broader transaction banking.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and translate complex risk matters into clear, actionable guidance.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, product governance and incident management.
• Demonstrated leadership in building risk‑aware cultures and embedding controls in global product environments.
