Director - Cyber Advisory (Data & AI Governance)

About the role

Scyne Advisory is seeking a Director to lead its Cyber Advisory team focused on Data and AI Governance. You will shape national pipelines, develop capability roadmaps and ensure delivery excellence for government and not‑for‑profit clients.

Key responsibilities

• Generate demand by leading business development, proposal creation, RFT/RFP responses and co‑selling with alliance partners.
• Develop and refine data and AI governance capabilities, creating blueprints, methodologies and reusable assets.
• Own delivery governance, internal communications and capability reporting in monthly business reviews.
• Lead client engagements, conduct risk assessments and advise on compliance with regulations and standards.
• Manage budgets, oversee consultant teams and mentor junior staff.

Required profile

• 10+ years experience in data and AI governance, preferably in consulting or professional services.
• Strong understanding of Australian government data and AI governance frameworks.
• Proven project management and team leadership on medium to complex projects.

Required skills

• Experience with cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, GCP.
• Familiarity with data analytics tools such as PowerBI and ACL.
• Knowledge of metadata, information management and AI/ML governance tools.
