Director, Business Partnering

About the role

Lead a contemporary, people‑focused business partnering model that connects university priorities with practical workforce strategies across Hawkesbury and Parramatta South campuses.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic workforce plans covering capability, succession, performance, engagement and change.
• Provide strategic oversight of complex employment and industrial relations matters, remuneration, benefits and job architecture.
• Coordinate integrated solutions across People and Culture functions as a member of the leadership team.
• Establish a consistent business partnering model with clear service standards and impact measures.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, HR, Industrial Relations, Law, Psychology or related field.
• Extensive experience in a large, complex organisation with expertise in employment, industrial and workplace relations.
• Proven ability to lead People and Culture Business Partnering teams and deliver strategic advice.
• Strong analytical, critical‑thinking and problem‑solving capabilities.

Required skills

• High‑level leadership and negotiation capability.
• Expertise in remuneration, reward, benefits, job evaluation and classification frameworks.
