About the role

Community Living & Respite Services is looking for a Direct Support Professional to provide support and care to people with disabilities in a residential setting in Echuca, Victoria. The role is part-time, with a schedule of 39.5 hours and two sleepovers per fortnight, and the applicant must be female by client choice.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support, including help with personal hygiene, meal preparation, medication management and recreational activities
• Develop individualised care plans with the interdisciplinary team
• Monitor resident progress and report concerns or changes in behaviour to supervisory staff
• Maintain a safe and supportive environment and help residents build independent living skills

Required profile

• Experience working with individuals with disabilities
• Associate degree or equivalent experience in human services or a related field preferred
• Current CPR/First Aid certification
• Valid driver's licence
• Availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays
