Direct Support Professional - Residential (Casual)

About the role

Community Living & Respite Services has casual vacancies for Direct Support Professionals in its residential service in Echuca, Victoria. You will join a supportive team and help people live independently in their own homes.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with daily living, including meals and personal care
• Help with hoisting and everyday household tasks
• Support meaningful engagement in the local community

Required profile

• A strong commitment to the CLRS vision and values
• Victorian or NSW driver's licence
• Current Level 2 First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain one
• Three doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, or an exemption
• Casuals must work on average at least 24 hours per fortnight

Required skills

• Ideally: experience supporting people who display behaviours of concern
• Ideally: understanding of positive behaviour support and person-centred active support
• Ideally: Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability)
