Direct Care Coordinator (Rostering)

About the role

BaptistCare is looking for a Direct Care Coordinator on a 12-month maximum term, full-time rostering role based in the northern suburbs of Melbourne. The position works from home and from the Bundoora office three days a week. The coordinator develops, manages and delivers optimised rosters for the workforce and acts as first point of contact for direct care delivery staff, service brokerage providers and external agencies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, manage and deliver optimised rosters for the workforce
• Act as first point of contact for direct care delivery staff, service brokerage providers and external agencies
• Provide timely and customised support to aged care customers
• Roster staff while considering customers' service requirements, staff skill sets, operational efficiency and cost effectiveness

Required profile

• A positive can-do attitude and the ability to engage with a range of customers and staff
• Demonstrated rostering capability (aged care experience is advantageous)
• Lateral thinking and problem-solving skills
• Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
• Right to work in Australia; short-listed applicants only, with a National Criminal History check and medical assessment required

Required skills

• Rostering systems such as Kronos (UKG), Alayacare, HumanForce or others
• In-home rostering knowledge is highly regarded
• Knowledge of the SCHADS award is desirable but not essential
