Diocesan Director (Casual)

About the role

Casual position based in Wagga Wagga, NSW, working approximately 3.75 hours per week. The Diocesan Director will champion Caritas Australia’s mission through education, advocacy and community partnerships across the diocese.

Key responsibilities

• Lead diocesan engagement in Caritas Australia’s mission through education, advocacy, fundraising and ecological justice initiatives.
• Build strong relationships with Catholic schools, parishes and volunteers, developing a network of parish representatives.
• Design and deliver presentations, workshops and events such as Project Compassion launches.
• Represent Caritas Australia at diocesan events and collaborate with internal teams to support fundraising, communications and supporter engagement.

Required profile

• Purpose‑driven professional committed to the mission of Caritas Australia and Catholic social teaching.
• Tertiary qualification in Education, Theology, Community Engagement, Communications or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience collaborating with diocesan authorities, parishes, schools or community groups on social and ecological justice.
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation, organisational and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and events effectively.
