Digital Mobiles Project Manager

About the role

This is a long‑term contract position (minimum 2 years) with a large Australian federal government agency. The role can be based in Melbourne CBD or Geelong with flexible work‑from‑home options.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate technical solution planning for new mobile capabilities and features.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, plans, risks, issues and dependencies.
• Manage delivery partners, including internal teams, shared‑services IT teams and commercial vendors.
• Work closely with the Product Owner and delivery teams to drive day‑to‑day sprint delivery.
• Represent the project in ICT Change and Release Management meetings and oversee cyber‑security assessments, penetration testing and go/no‑go gates.

Required profile

• 8‑10+ years of IT project management experience using Prince2, PMBOK, Agile, SAFe or hybrid models.
• Deep expertise in digital and mobile technologies, especially integrating external systems into cloud‑based platforms.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications and an industry‑recognised project management certification (SAFe preferred).

Required skills

• React Native development.
• Salesforce Lightning Web Components (LWC).
• DevOps principles for quality and reliability.
• Cyber‑security assessment and penetration testing.
