Digital Content and Communications Officer

About the role

Ascham School is seeking a permanent full‑time Digital Content and Communications Officer to create engaging digital material for its social media channels, website, newsletters, films, podcasts and printed publications. The role supports the school’s strategic objectives by delivering fresh, audience‑focused content that celebrates the school community.

Key responsibilities

• Design innovative communication assets for promotional EDMs, weekly newsletters, website pages, social media, event collateral and digital signage.
• Develop and execute targeted social‑media strategies across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.
• Plan, write, produce and upload digital content in line with brand guidelines and user experience standards.
• Maintain the digital communications calendar aligned with school events and activities.
• Manage the school’s photo‑library platform and all digital signage.
• Produce regular analytics reports on campaign performance and social‑media metrics.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification or demonstrated experience in media, visual or multimedia communications.
• Proven ability to create contemporary, user‑centric digital content.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive, autonomous work style with ability to meet deadlines.
• CPR certification and a valid Working with Children Clearance (or willingness to obtain).

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro).
• Expert use of Microsoft Office 365 applications.
• Experience with AI tools such as Co‑Pilot.
• Knowledge of social‑media management, web‑design principles, photography and videography.
• Ability to generate digital analytics reports.
