Dewatering Technician FIFO 2:1

About the role

UON, an integrated energy company in Western Australia, is recruiting experienced, self-motivated Dewatering Technicians on a 2:1 FIFO roster to start in the New Year. The role involves installing and maintaining water pumps, generators, dewatering trailers, HDPE pipelines and associated valving while keeping a high standard of safety. Only applicants with unrestricted rights to work in Australia will be considered.

Key responsibilities

• Install and maintain water pumps, generators, dewatering trailers, HDPE pipelines and associated valving.
• Maintain a high degree of safety in all work.

Required profile

• Relevant trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter / Pipe Fitter or a Poly Welding Ticket.
• At least 2 years of experience in an open mine pit dewatering role.
• Valid Load Restraint training (Secure Cargo and Load and Unload Goods).
• Wellmaster system training.
• CoR drivers training.
• Current manual WA HR class driver's licence.
• White/Blue card construction licence.
• Current chainsaw certification.
• High risk work licences for forklift (LF), dogging (DG) and crane (CV, C2 or C6).
• Operating tickets for excavator (LE) and IT loader.
• Good communication skills, attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, work independently and within a team, mechanical aptitude and organisational skills.
