DevOps, Platform Engineering and SRE Consultant with AI

About the role

Infosys is hiring a DevOps, Platform Engineering and Site Reliability Engineering Consultant with AI. You will lead enterprise clients and delivery teams in adopting AI-enabled engineering practices, modern DevSecOps and SRE capabilities. You will assess current-state capabilities, shape transformation roadmaps, architect and enable modern engineering platforms, and improve software delivery performance, resilience, security and developer experience. The role combines consulting leadership with practical engineering depth.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse client IT environments and prepare gap assessments and roadmaps for AI-integrated DevOps automation, covering CI/CD/CT pipelines.
• Architect and implement DevOps and DevSecOps tooling, including GitHub, GitLab, Azure DevOps and AI-enhanced developer tools.
• Design, build and optimise CI/CD/CT pipelines for Java.NET, ERP and cloud-native applications, and drive automation across build, release, deployment, infrastructure provisioning, monitoring and operations.
• Work with AWS, Azure and GCP, including auto-scaling, high availability, capacity planning and AI-based resource optimisation.
• Manage container platforms such as Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, OpenShift, EKS and AKS.
• Drive engineering excellence through DORA metrics, reliability engineering, observability, automation maturity models and AI-enabled quality assurance.
• Mentor teams in Generative AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, GitLab Duo and Microsoft 365 Copilot, and apply prompt engineering to code generation, pipeline automation, documentation and testing.
• Research emerging technologies in AI/ML, MLOps, Generative AI, DevSecOps and platform engineering.
• Act as a thought leader: share insights on Agile, DevOps, AI/ML and Generative AI trends, develop best practices and reusable assets, and capture work products in the organisation's knowledge base.
• Support Agile transformation and DevOps strategy for clients, build relationships with client stakeholders and engagement managers, and contribute to business development opportunities.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years of IT experience, including substantial experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, platform engineering, SRE, cloud engineering, systems integration or technology transformation.
• Proven experience leading enterprise consulting engagements, assessments, roadmaps, operating-model design and implementation programs.
• Strong hands-on understanding of CI/CD/CT, release engineering, deployment automation, infrastructure as code and configuration management.
• Experience with Git, Maven or Gradle, Artifactory or Nexus, GitHub, GitLab and Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet or comparable automation technologies.
• Experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, EKS, AKS, Docker and cloud-native platforms.
• Strong SRE knowledge, including SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, incident management and capacity planning.
• Hands-on experience with observability and APM platforms such as OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, Dynatrace, New Relic, Datadog or comparable tools.
• Understanding of responsible AI, AI security and model or agent lifecycle governance.

What we offer

• Indicated annual gross salary of AUD 108,571 to 119,893, which may be enhanced depending on internal company processes.
