DevOps Engineer – Australian Government Program

About the role

Profectus is looking for experienced DevOps Engineers to support a major Australian Government program. The role involves automating build, integration and deployment processes, streamlining delivery through CI/CD, and resolving integration and environment issues while collaborating with stakeholders and delivery partners.

Key responsibilities

• Build, maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines, automation and continuous integration.
• Integrate and build components, subsystems and interfaces to create operational systems and services.
• Configure and manage build and test environments, addressing configuration drift and inconsistencies.
• Diagnose and resolve integration, build, deployment and environment issues, including supporting major incidents.
• Automate repetitive tasks and optimise build and deployment workflows.
• Contribute to systems integration standards, tools and continuous improvement.
• Maintain accurate documentation and configuration records.

Required profile

• Strong DevOps experience with CI/CD, automation and continuous integration.
• Experience integrating and building components across complex, multi‑platform environments.
• Familiarity with build, deployment and environment management tooling and infrastructure as code.
• Australian Government experience is a minimum requirement.
• Strong problem‑solving and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and within integrated, multi‑vendor delivery teams.
