Desktop Support Officer

About the role

Join Avant’s IT team as a Desktop Support Officer, providing front‑line technical assistance to staff across the organisation. You will ensure that end‑users have reliable devices, software, and meeting‑room technology to perform their duties efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver onsite and remote desktop support for employees.
• Manage the full lifecycle of laptops, mobile phones, and peripherals, including provisioning, deployment, and asset tracking.
• Support Microsoft Intune device management and enforce compliance policies.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, Microsoft 365, and Teams issues.
• Maintain meeting‑room and video‑conferencing equipment.
• Prepare and deploy equipment for new hires.
• Log and resolve incidents via the IT service‑management platform.
• Assist in upholding security and compliance standards for end‑user devices.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of experience in Desktop Support, Service Desk or IT Support.
• Strong communication and customer‑service orientation.
• Proactive problem‑solving and ability to prioritise in a fast‑paced environment.
