Designers (Civil, Piping, Structural, Mechanical)

About the role

GR Engineering Services Limited is seeking experienced Designers across civil (concrete), piping, structural and mechanical disciplines to join the Drawing Office team at our Ascot head office. You will work on a variety of mining and mineral processing projects, supporting full project lifecycles and occasional site visits.

Key responsibilities

• Produce hard‑copy and electronic CAD drawings in line with client specifications, GRES standards and industry best practices.
• Communicate design intent clearly through drawings for engineers and project teams.
• Manage workload to meet project deadlines while maintaining high accuracy and quality.
• Prepare and review design documentation against project schedules.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of design experience in the relevant discipline.
• Certificate or Diploma in Design or Engineering (beneficial).
• Full, unrestricted Australian working rights.

Required skills

• Proficiency with discipline‑specific drafting packages such as Solid Edge, AutoCAD, Tekla, Civil 3D.
• Broad experience with 3D CAD platforms and modelling workflows.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities in a design context.
