About the role

Minlaton District School is seeking a passionate Design and Technology teacher to join its R‑12 team from early 2027. The role offers the chance to shape practical, creative learning linked to local agriculture, trades, engineering and community needs while enjoying a coastal lifestyle.

Key responsibilities

• Teach Design and Technology (Materials) to Years 6‑12, with flexibility to cover additional subjects as needed.
• Develop and deliver evidence‑informed lessons that promote learner agency, wellbeing and authentic community connections.
• Design and oversee hands‑on projects, including engineering, woodworking and digital fabrication.
• Collaborate with industry partners to create authentic learning experiences.
• Contribute to the school’s improvement journey focused on achievement and belonging.

Required profile

• Relevant teaching qualification and registration for South Australia.
• Demonstrated ability to use evidence of learning to improve student outcomes.
• Experience designing authentic, problem‑solving projects that develop creativity and agency.
• Willingness to engage with local industry and community partners.

• Salary range $84,971 – $123,236 per annum (AUD).
