About the role

Kolbe Catholic College is seeking a passionate, innovative teacher to deliver Digital Technologies and Design Technologies to students in Years 7‑12. The role involves creating future‑focused learning experiences and contributing to the college’s co‑curricular and pastoral life.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Digital Technologies and Design Technologies lessons across secondary year levels.
• Develop innovative, authentic learning experiences that cater for diverse learners.
• Maintain strong classroom management and promote student wellbeing.
• Collaborate with the Learning Area team and contribute to professional learning initiatives.
• Participate in co‑curricular, pastoral and extra‑curricular activities of the college.

Required profile

• Sound knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum and contemporary teaching practices.
• Ability to create engaging learning experiences for diverse learners.
• Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to student wellbeing.
• Willingness to embrace emerging technologies and contemporary design processes.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills with students, parents and colleagues.

Required skills

• Coding and computational thinking.
• Design thinking and digital production.
• Familiarity with emerging technologies.
• Knowledge of Materials Design and Technology (wood and/or metal).
