Design Mechanical Engineer

About the role

Join a global leader in mineral processing as a Design Mechanical Engineer. You will deliver high‑quality mechanical design solutions and provide technical support across a diverse portfolio of projects, from concept through commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed mechanical designs, calculations, specifications, datasheets and material take‑offs.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Lead Engineers, Project Managers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, compliant and efficient project delivery.
• Support procurement activities, vendor engagement, construction and commissioning phases.
• Apply design standards and engineering documentation requirements consistently.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2–5 years of experience in mechanical design, project delivery, consulting or an industrial environment.
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, design standards and workplace health & safety legislation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Analytical mindset with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
