Design Manager – Civil Water Infrastructure

About the role

Jacobs is seeking a Design Manager to lead water and wastewater engineering projects across South Australia and New Zealand. The role combines design management, project delivery leadership and business development within a secure pipeline of work.

Key responsibilities

• Manage delivery of major water/wastewater infrastructure projects, including large‑diameter pipelines, treatment plants and pump stations.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams across multiple locations and ensure designs are buildable, innovative and commercially viable.
• Support commercial, project management and technical leaders in winning new work and expanding Jacobs’ water portfolio.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) and Chartered Engineer status (CPEng, CEng or PE).
• 10+ years of experience in water or wastewater civil engineering, with a proven record of technical leadership on large infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of safety‑in‑design principles and Australian water industry standards.
