Design and Technologies Teacher (Year 7‑12)

About the role

Ocean Reef Senior High School is seeking an innovative Design and Technologies teacher to deliver Year 7‑12 courses across wood, metal and design contexts. The role starts in Term 1 2027 and is permanent full‑time.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and teach Design and Technology subjects including Woodwork, Metalwork, Dimensional Design and Digital Technologies.
• Deliver General courses and Certificate qualifications (e.g., Certificate II in Construction, Certificate II in Engineering).
• Support lower‑school Digital Technologies and, where appropriate, General Computer Science.
• Maintain effective classroom management, differentiate instruction and promote active learning.

Required profile

• Current teacher registration and eligible qualification.
• Recent experience teaching Design and Technology at Year 12 level, including General and Certificate courses.
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (preferred).
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with students, staff and community.

Required skills

• Woodwork and Metalwork fabrication.
• Graphic design, laser cutting, 3D modelling and 3D printing.
• Digital Technologies and basic Computer Science concepts.
