Training Officer – Education Department

About the role

The Department of Education is seeking motivated Training Officers to support the Kaartdijin Program, which will replace the current School Information System across 800+ schools in Western Australia. The role involves designing and delivering professional learning to help schools transition to the new solution.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, review and deliver high‑quality training materials for school staff, principals and corporate services managers.
• Research and keep training content up‑to‑date with relevant business processes, legislation, policies and procedures.
• Facilitate face‑to‑face and online training sessions, webinars and e‑learning modules.
• Collaborate with the training and support team to ensure a coordinated approach across school and finance workstreams.
• Travel frequently to metropolitan and regional schools and education offices across Western Australia.

Required profile

• Strong written communication skills with the ability to translate complex information into clear training materials.
• Experience designing, delivering and evaluating technical training programs.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a changing environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Australian or New Zealand citizenship, permanent residency or valid work visa.
• Willingness to undergo a criminal history check and obtain a screening clearance number.
