DES Account Manager / Business Developer – Electrical Services

About the role

A well-established, national award-winning electrical client is looking for an experienced account manager with an electrical trades or engineering background. The role combines strong account management with new business development, using skills in electrical quoting and estimating for small projects, maintenance, upgrades and services installation. It is full-time and permanent, Monday to Friday, with a mix of office-based work (Bibra Lake) and client-facing work (clients are 80/90% based in Perth CBD and metro suburbs, the rest in country WA).

Key responsibilities

• Liaise and negotiate with existing and new clients (commercial, construction, education, health, industrial and infrastructure) for electrical services such as repairs, modifications, replacements, upgrades and LV, HV and high-energy installations.
• Identify and follow up on additional new business opportunities from existing maintenance and services contracts.
• Quote and estimate the electrical work identified.
• Act as the key point of contact for clients, managing proposals to close sales.

Required profile

• Previous experience in customer-facing roles in the electrical industry managing key B2B service accounts.
• Experience quoting electrical works for maintenance, services and small projects; experience quoting HV works is advantageous but not required.
• Electrical trade or electrical engineering background is essential.
• Proven success as a dedicated account manager.
• Experience prospecting new markets, generating leads and closing new deals is advantageous.
• Current driver's licence and own reliable transport are essential.

Required skills

• Quoting and estimating electrical works.
• Strong computer skills including MS Word and MS Excel.
• Ability to work autonomously, plan and schedule appointments and meet deadlines in a KPI-driven environment.

What we offer

• Base salary plus an uncapped commission component paid quarterly on meeting set KPIs.
