Department Team Leader - Camp and Hike

About the role

Anaconda is hiring a Department Team Leader for its Camp and Hike department at Anaconda Adventure HQ in Brendale, Queensland. The store brings together Anaconda's outdoor adventure products with Camp and Hike gear, and the team leader leads the department from the front, driving sales and keeping the shop stocked and ready for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Energise the shop floor and create an environment where every customer feels inspired to start their next adventure
• Drive sales by connecting customers with the right technical gear, apparel and solutions, and bring the department to life through impactful merchandising
• Support recruitment, onboarding and ongoing training of team members
• Keep stock well managed, replenished and presented to maximise sales opportunities
• Drive and support in-store events, promotions and seasonal campaigns
• Work with store leadership to deliver a strong in-store experience
• Stay hands-on, supporting the team and solving problems in a fast-paced retail environment

Required profile

• Previous retail leadership experience such as Team Leader, Department Supervisor or Assistant Manager
• Experience in apparel, footwear or technical outdoor gear (highly regarded)
• Strong customer focus and proven ability to drive sales and meet performance targets
• Excellent communication and team leadership skills
• Highly organised, with strong attention to detail in merchandising and stock management
• Proactive, hands-on approach and passion for outdoor adventure
