Dental Assistant

About the role

1300SMILES Upper Ross, a family-friendly general and restorative dentistry practice in Rasmussen, is looking for a full-time Dental Assistant to support its dentists chairside. Newcomers to dentistry are welcome, as they will learn step by step from an experienced team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide chairside support during general and restorative procedures
• Prepare and maintain treatment rooms between appointments
• Sterilise instruments and care for dental equipment
• Help patients feel comfortable and well looked after
• Pitch in with reception and admin tasks when things get busy

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant and/or a Certificate III in Dental Assisting (preferred, not essential)
• Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
• Customer service skills with a friendly, approachable manner
• Clear, professional communication with patients and the team
• A reliable, positive approach and willingness to learn new systems

Required skills

• Knowledge of infection control and sterilisation protocols, or willingness to learn them
