Demi Chef – Lizard Island Resort

About the role

Delaware North Australia is seeking a full‑time Demi Chef to join the kitchen team at Lizard Island Resort. You will help design and execute high‑quality dishes while supporting inventory, cost control and food‑safety standards across the back‑of‑house.

Key responsibilities

• Design, prepare and present creative, high‑quality dishes for the resort’s fine‑dining venues.
• Manage inventory, cost of goods sold, and profit‑and‑loss reporting.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, food‑safety regulations and maintain a hygienic kitchen environment.
• Collaborate with team members on buffet and bulk‑food production and assist with various kitchen duties.

Required profile

• Diploma in Professional Cookery Level 5 or equivalent.
• Food Safety Supervisor certificate (beneficial).
• Proven experience in buffet and bulk food production.
• Ability to work a 7‑day roster with varied shifts.
