Data Engineer – Databricks

About the role

The Data Engineer will design, develop and support data products used internally and by clients, focusing on sourcing, transforming, securing and monitoring data within Cuscal’s data lake and analytics platforms. You will work in a scrum team, collaborating directly with product, engineering and analytics stakeholders to deliver high‑quality solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in discovery workshops to understand client problems and design data solutions.
• Build and maintain efficient ETL pipelines using Databricks and other big‑data technologies.
• Manage and troubleshoot workflow scheduling, system availability and incident response.
• Develop analytic solutions in Databricks SQL Analytics and PowerBI.
• Support applications in line with enterprise architecture and ITIL standards.

Required profile

• 5+ years of data engineering experience, preferably in payments.
• Strong knowledge of Databricks, data lake and data warehousing techniques.
• Experience working in PCI‑DSS compliant environments.
• Familiarity with project delivery, SDLC and secure development practices.
