Data & AI Solutions Manager

About the role

Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, the Data & AI Solutions Manager will design and deliver data, automation and AI solutions that generate measurable value for Apiam. This hands‑on role covers business discovery, solution architecture and end‑to‑end delivery, working closely with operational and corporate teams.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to identify opportunities and translate needs into practical Data & AI solutions.
• Design and deliver solutions across data integration, analytics, workflow automation, machine learning and generative AI.
• Develop scalable data pipelines, models and integrations supporting reporting, operational systems and AI use cases.
• Lead initiatives from discovery through implementation, adoption, support and benefits realisation.
• Ensure solutions are secure, reliable and compliant with Apiam’s technology, privacy, data and risk requirements.
• Establish reusable architecture patterns and evaluate platforms, vendors and partners.
• Drive adoption of Data & AI capabilities through knowledge sharing, coaching and responsible AI practices.
• Lead and develop a small team of data, AI and technology professionals.

Required profile

• Pragmatic, commercially minded technology professional comfortable engaging with business stakeholders and delivering outcomes.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and facilitation skills.
• Ability to prioritise opportunities based on value, feasibility, strategic alignment and risk.
• Experience leading, mentoring or developing technical professionals.

Required skills

• Design and delivery of data, analytics, automation or AI solutions in production.
• Solution architecture, systems integration, APIs, SQL and data modelling.
• Cloud platforms, preferably Snowflake and Snowflake Cortex.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Power Platform.
• Practical knowledge of generative AI, large language models, RAG and agent‑based workflows.
• Software delivery practices: source control, testing, CI/CD, monitoring, security and documentation.
• Understanding of responsible AI, privacy, information security and human oversight.
