Dairy Systems & Data Coordinator

About the role

Aurora Dairies, which operates 50 dairy farms across south-eastern Australia, is looking for a motivated and technically capable Dairy Systems & Data Coordinator based in Launceston, Tasmania. Reporting to the General Manager Tasmania, the role works closely with Farm Managers and farm teams to provide technical support, improve data quality, deliver training and maximise the value of dairy management systems and farm technology. Regular travel between farms is required.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first-level technical support for dairy management systems, farm software and related technology, and troubleshoot system, access, device, connectivity and data issues.
• Support the implementation, configuration and rollout of new systems and technologies.
• Deliver practical training and coaching to Farm Managers and farm teams, and develop user guides, training resources and standard operating procedures.
• Support accurate, timely and consistent data entry, monitor data quality and investigate inconsistencies or anomalies.
• Help Farm Managers access and use operational reports and dashboards, and promote the use of farm data for decision-making.
• Identify process, system and technology adoption improvements, and support digital transformation and continuous improvement projects.
• Build relationships with Farm Managers, operational teams and technology providers.

Required profile

• Candidates without full long-term Australian working rights (including employer-sponsored or working holiday visas) will not be considered.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to build relationships across a geographically dispersed workforce.
• Experience training, coaching or supporting users with varying levels of technical knowledge.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and travel regularly between farms.
• Dairy farming, agriculture, farm software, herd management systems or agricultural technology experience is highly regarded.

Required skills

• Solid data management and data quality awareness.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting capability.
