Cyber Security Analyst - Cloud and IAM

About the role

Robert Half is recruiting, on behalf of a major Western Australian organisation, an experienced Cyber Security Analyst specialising in cloud security, identity governance and risk management. The role leads cloud security governance and IAM initiatives, drives security maturity across Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft 365, and influences cyber security strategy, risk management and organisational resilience. It is a hybrid position based in Perth CBD.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of cloud security governance frameworks, standards and controls.
• Conduct cloud security risk assessments, compliance reviews and assurance activities.
• Strengthen IAM, including authentication, authorisation, privileged access and identity governance.
• Improve Microsoft Azure, Entra ID and Microsoft 365 security environments.
• Support MFA, PAM, PIM and Zero Trust implementation.
• Align with Essential Eight, Australian Government ISM, NIST CSF and organisational policies.
• Advise on security during technology projects and solution design, and report risks to senior leadership.
• Work with stakeholders and partners on monitoring, incident management and cyber resilience, and support security awareness.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security or a related discipline.
• Microsoft Certified Identity and Access Administrator Associate (SC-300).
• Significant experience in cloud security, IAM and security governance, and in securing Azure, Entra ID and Microsoft 365.
• Experience building cloud security frameworks, risk assessments and security assurance reviews.
• Knowledge of Essential Eight, ISM and NIST CSF; stakeholder engagement and communication with senior leadership.
• Australian driver's licence, willingness to obtain an MSIC and occasional travel within WA.

Salary of $148K plus 12% superannuation.
