Application Support Analyst

About the role

Hudson is recruiting on behalf of a major Queensland Government Agency in critical infrastructure. It is seeking an Application Support Analyst for a 12-month contract, working in a small, collaborative team supporting a range of business applications. The role suits someone who enjoys troubleshooting, helping users, maintaining business systems and improving application performance and usability.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day application support, including logging, investigating and resolving system issues.
• Maintain system data, user access and configurations to ensure accuracy, integrity and availability.
• Assist with system updates, enhancements, testing and validation.
• Provide user guidance, onboarding support and refresher training.
• Work with stakeholders to implement straightforward application and content improvements.
• Monitor and report on system usage, performance metrics and recurring support issues.
• Contribute to the ongoing maintenance and improvement of multiple business applications.

Required profile

• Experience in application support, business systems support or application administration.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience managing user access, system configurations and data quality.
• Exposure to application testing, system updates and enhancements.
• Good communication skills and the ability to support users with varying levels of technical knowledge.
• Experience delivering user guidance, training or onboarding.
• A practical, solutions-focused approach and the ability to work across multiple applications in a small team.

Required skills

• Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps and Power Automate) is highly desirable.
• Strong application support experience across a range of business systems is also valued.
