Cyber Security Analyst – 3‑Month Contract

About the role

We are seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to join our Melbourne team on a three‑month contract. You will work onsite, collaborating with IT and business stakeholders to protect critical systems, networks, and data assets.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, investigate and respond to security alerts and incidents using SIEM and endpoint protection platforms.
• Conduct threat and vulnerability assessments across infrastructure and applications.
• Support incident response activities, including root‑cause analysis and remediation.
• Maintain and improve security controls, policies and procedures.
• Assist with cyber risk assessments and compliance initiatives.
• Work with internal teams to raise security awareness and embed best practices.
• Contribute to security projects, continuous‑improvement initiatives and reporting for management.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in cyber security, security operations or information security.
• Strong understanding of security frameworks, risk management and best practices.
• Experience with incident response, threat hunting and vulnerability management.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.
