Data Analyst – Business Intelligence

About the role

As a Data Analyst within Iress’s Business Intelligence team, you will turn raw data into actionable insights that drive strategic decisions across the organisation. You will work with large, complex datasets, develop dashboards and support forecasting initiatives in a fast‑moving, hybrid environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct in‑depth analysis of complex datasets to uncover trends, patterns and correlations.
• Develop and maintain reports and dashboards that present key performance indicators and metrics.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to clean, validate and ensure data integrity.
• Use statistical methods and predictive modelling to forecast future trends.
• Identify opportunities to improve data processes, reporting mechanisms and analytical tools.

Required profile

• Proven ability to analyse large datasets and extract meaningful insights.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex findings to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver business value quickly.

Required skills

• SQL
• Python or R
• BI tools such as Quicksight, Tableau or Power BI
• Experience with Jira and agile working environments
