Customer Service Officer – Maternity Leave Contract

About the role

Centurion is looking for a Customer Service Officer to join its Perth Airport team on a 12‑month maternity‑leave contract. The role involves delivering high‑quality support through phone, email, web‑forms and live‑chat, ensuring enquiries are resolved efficiently and in line with company policies and regulatory obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to customer enquiries via phone, email, web‑forms and live‑chat, providing exceptional service.
• Resolve complaints and investigations at first contact using effective problem‑solving techniques.
• Perform operational support tasks such as booking freight, creating consignments, printing labels and processing invoice payments.
• Maintain accurate customer records and interaction details in the database and generate proactive reporting as required.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth operations and positive outcomes.
• Identify and escalate high‑risk issues or complaints in accordance with company policies.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in a high‑volume contact‑centre environment.
• Strong computer literacy with the ability to navigate multiple digital systems quickly.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional telephone manner.
• Well‑developed time‑management and conflict‑resolution abilities.
• Transport or logistics industry experience is desirable but not mandatory.

Required skills
