Customer Service Officer – Community Bank Emu Park

About the role

Bendigo Bank is hiring a Customer Service Officer for its Community Bank Emu Park branch in Rockhampton, Queensland. This is a permanent, full-time position on a 76-hour roster per fortnight. The role sits at the heart of service delivery, helping customers achieve their banking goals through transactions, digital banking guidance and product recommendations.

Key responsibilities

• Explore customers' needs through in-depth conversations to help them reach their financial goals, working with other specialists in the branch
• Support customers with digital literacy and online banking needs as the bank innovates its offerings
• Act as the branch's face of customer service: process transactions, handle cash, investigate queries and assist with paperwork, always keeping risk considerations in mind

Required profile

• Experience in a customer service environment and the ability to achieve targets
• Strong attention to detail to ensure secure, accurate transactions with a risk mindset
• Confidence communicating face to face and over the phone with new and existing customers
• Eagerness to learn and share what makes the bank different, and a strong sense of teamwork
• Banking and finance experience is a plus but not essential
